Rome, 2006, I wait for Martin Scorsese for four hours in the lobby of his hotel. He arrives. I rush to him with the book of film portraits I published in 1983. I open the book to his page, his bodyguard blocks my arm, I ask him for a new appointment ... I don’t have any expectation but three hours later, his assistant calls me and offers me a meeting the next day.
