Collection: JULES RENAULT

Jules Renault is a filmmaker and photographer. He lives and works in Paris. Passionate about music and street culture, Jules draws his inspiration and energy from the worlds of skating, fashion, hip-hop and cinema. Jules took his first creative steps between Los Angeles, New York City and Boston, where he spent over a year making music videos, skating videos and developing a passion for African-American culture. As a self-taught filmmaker, he continued to make music videos with New York artists, and found happiness in directing. In 2021, Jules directed an advert for the Distance brand entitled "Outlaw Runners", featuring a group of runners caught speeding by the new 30 km/h city speed cameras. The ad created a real buzz and was one of the most awarded ads of the year. Jules' style is characterized by his sense of rhythm in images and his sharp eye for urban culture. He is constantly on the lookout for personal projects and creative evolution, with a particular interest in documentaries. In summer 2021, he published a book of documentary photographs to complement his first solo exhibition entitled "Crown Heights - Suspended In Time", which deals with the extreme gentrification of Brooklyn's African-American neighborhoods. Jules is attracted by the creative space that fashion offers. He continues to collaborate with young Parisian designers, working on campaigns, runway shows and fashion editorials. Jules spends his free time traveling and experimenting with analog images, always on the lookout for new visual experiences and driven by the ambition to reconcile classicism in image and modernity in rhythm with the style that characterizes him. Finally, the director and photographer has set his sights on feature-length fiction. A desire that is gradually taking shape, as evidenced by the completion of his first short film, "Je Rentre", available on OCS platforms.
