Whenever I had the chance, I would propose to magazines to do their fashion series in remote parts of the United States.

I was making a lot of money at the time and had invested in a Hasselblad CW medium format camera. It was a bit like a cab driver buying a Benz.

I discovered the fun of shooting landscapes in square format. I could also reframe my pictures, which was sometimes a bit absurd but often easy. 

I had become the nightmare of my teams, because I could not help myself stopping regularly, taking my time to take pictures that had nothing to do with the commissioned work.

Then, I would try to wedge them in the fashion series, often without success.
