Title: Image System #159
Year: 1993
Location: Staten Island ferry, New York, USA

I used the Polaroid Image System box a lot. Whenever I had a job, I ordered a good supply of Polaroid film which I then used sparingly. I kept them all religiously, scanned them with very high resolution to make very large prints and finally published them in two books at RGB Books: Image System #1 and #2.

When I started editing the first volume of Image System published by RGB Books, I went through all the Polaroids I had in stock.

I was shocked when I came across this one. A dozen years had passed since 9/11 and this photo, which was not particularly interesting at the time, was suddenly striking. Everything was there: the blue sky, the Twins Towers, the plane clearly visible in front of its white cloud heading towards them.

Printing & Framing

Print sizes depend on the support because photographs' dimensions slightly vary from picture to picture. The variation depends on the camera used and the editing process.

Fine Art Prints have white boarders, because they are meant to fit in standard frames. The dimensions of white boarders vary to fit the exact dimensions of the photograph.

Aluminium and Floater Frames do not have white boarders. These supports are custom-made to fit the exact dimensions of the photograph. Therefore, the sizes vary slightly from the standard sizes.
